Mission: To promote the narrative of Filipino American experiences through preservation, inspiration, and education.

If you wish to make an appointment to visit the Museum on either Saturdays or Sundays between 11am to 4pm, please call us at (209) 932-9037 (or email us at fanhsmuseum@aol.com) and leave a message with your name, email address, phone number, date, and time of desired visit (at least two weeks in advance, please, to ensure we have enough volunteers to help out on that day) and the number of people in your party.

We will return your call or email you and let you know if your desired day and time is available.

Located in downtown Stockton, in the historic Newberry building, the National FANHS Museum showcases the contributions that Filipino Americans have made to the United States. Their first recorded landing in 1587 at Morro Bay, California, begins a long legacy in this country.

Our city of Stockton was chosen as the site for the Filipino American National Historical Society Museum (aka FANHS Museum) in 1994 because of Stockton's significance in Filipino American history from the 1920s to the 1960s.

Now is your chance to learn and view that history. The FANHS Museum had its Grand Opening on October 29, 2016, after twenty years of planning and fundraising. Our start-up space is small, but it packs a lot of information. The dream is now alive!
